Home to the Horseshoe Casino,just one of several places my sister,neice,her son, my daughter haunted this weekend. No we did not hit that mystical thing called the "Slot Machine",but at one time i did insert my $10.00 bill to quickly be consumed by two apples and one orange,,,,etc,,etc,,,etc,,Tho i did pick a 1cent machine totally barren on all 4 stools,and it was pizza,so i put it in and off and on,well you know how that goes,i was up to 42.85 cents one time,i should of checked out,but i didnt,got down to 13 figured id go up,as i had been steadily,but nope,time to go home.Sober,yep you read right,left a casino,sober. Not that we did not want to try,my daughter was watching my neices son at the hotel,so it was just us 3 (hot babes,think the snl skit with the two hot guys,insert voices in your head and read that hot babes part again,okay so you got that right?.) One step into the bar and i knew we might be in trouble,all the women had knee high cowboy boots on and leather, pants, skirts,lace down halter tops,,,lots of men looking at those cowboy boots...So we step up to order, a margerita but no jose please give me petrone,a regular margerita and for me,was a easy choice,strawberry dacquari with whipped cream and a perfect cherry on top. My sisters says, ill get this round.My neice was offering the 2nd and myself saving enough to make sure i didnt let the angry machines eat my last fistfull of dollars. The pretty barmaid,yes the one of the lace down leather halter top,says $27.00, i was aways away so i didnt think of could of heard that right, 27.00 for 3 disposible plastic cup for picnics sized drinks. Call me absent minded sometimes and a bit too country but paying 27.00,um we would be better leaving and buying a bottle of petrone. Zoo was very cool,seen better,seen worse. I loved several places they had,esp the sensory gardens,the desert room,the two white tigers,the almost tame very elderly woman elephant that will sit and chat with you for as long as your feeding her peanuts across the gap.As for further information on what Omaha had has to offer i can only say this in my ending,What happens in Omaha,stays in Omaha.
